For the production of our standard carbide grades, we use tungsten carbide and cobalt or nickel as a binding metal. These materials are available to us as precursors in the form of powders.

OUR EXPERTS KNOW THEIR STUFF

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE COMPOSITION

The tungsten content and binder content determine the specific properties. A higher proportion of tungsten promotes hardness. A lower proportion of tungsten promotes flexural strength. The finer the grain size, the harder the carbide grade. The best possible composition between tungsten content, binder content and grain size depends on the application of the end product. Our long-standing experts will advise you on the best possible composition.
